My friend has a 1996 4/4 with the 1800 Zetec and is having problems with the engine. It starts and runs, but badly. Engine surges and dies and occasionally misses. He has changed the leads and plugs etc, but no change and now would like to get it diagnostic tested.
The connection on the car is the old 3 pin diagnostic head but has not been able to find a garage with this connection.
The car is in Northern Ireland so not handy to a dealer, are these diagnostic connectors available on the mainland.
The Connaught green car waiting for the Strangford Ferry is the very beauty.
