Sorry to hear about your problem nadvys. If the timing belt and tensioners are all OK and the valves open and close at the correct time, everything turns freely, the dowel holes for the camshafts all align, then it could just be a failed sensor. It has a few, crank position/bank angle maybe? The ECU stores fault codes, S&S Pro Tune 2 can read sensor outputs. I would have expected a dealer to be able to tell you exactly what the fault is. Interesting to know the solution, if there is a trend for failures it may be useful information in the future.
