Brough Superior is the maker of the motorcycle ridden across the desert by T.E. Lawrence
That really is a bit of news. Brough started making motorcycles in 1920 and by that stage Lawrence was back in England.
The reason it's news is quite simple - that bit in the article is not true!
The make was greatly favoured by TE Lawrence, and he had eight of them! All of them in the UK and after coming back from Arabia. The last one, that he crashed and died on is now on display at the Imperial War Museum. His accident directly lead to the campaign to make motorcycle crash helmets compulsory, although it took until 1973 to be the case.
