Pretty sure 70 foot/pounds is the figure for a steel wheeled 4/4 from the 70s. I used my torque wrench one on Woodstock to learn what it felt like and from then on, used a normal socket handle.
I'd be reasonably sure all my subsequent efforts were within an acceptable tolerance of this. The trick I used was to use a longer handle to undo, and to do up, learn how far one places the effort such that it can be repeated.
