Philip - I'm sorry to see about your father. Jill and I both lost our parents a number of years ago so have "dealt" with that loss already.
At aged 51 my perspective is that there are relatively a small number of people and businesses making vast amounts of money which with that comes power and collusion with the politicians.
The other worrying situation is that a friend of mine who is very well informed claims that a child has already been born that during their life time will reach 150 years old. My aunt who recently reached 100 years old and sadly died 10 days after was apparently one of 700 people of 100+ in the UK. Apparently, during the time this person gets to live to 150 it will not be uncommon for people to live to 120 and 130 years old with improvements in lifestyle and healthcare - if you can get it!
Which all begs the question how can many "normal" people afford to live to that age and even if we are all in a better state of health until later in our life will there be enough jobs in B&Q for 90+ year olds to keep us all alive!
The thought of spending years just existing in a "home" is doesn't bear thinking about. Perhaps I need to change our holiday cottage business into a "Cocoon" Club for Morgan owners!
Meanwhile - take every chance of getting out in the Morgan....
