The front track is also about 13" wider than the M3W, but with real car tires all around. They claim a very high G rating, so this thing probably handles corners very fast.

I wonder if they will come out with a "comfort kit" to improve steering?

I haven't seen the internal layout yet, but I imagine that it uses the stock GM 2.4L and front wheel drive 6 speed. It would be very easy to just lock the left side output and use just the right side axle output for the front drive sprocket. If this is the case, there would be no separate 90 degree gearbox, just a belt sprocket on a axial reinforced right side output from the transaxle assembly.

I have the same 2.4L and it's does run very well, albeit in a 3200# Buick.

I agree with others, it's not apples to apples for a comparison. I think both have their place and following. For the younger set, the Slingshot will be very attractive, especially at that price point.
