I guess it's having grown up with manual with auto clutch paddle shift with no torque converters all the way from the 355 up to present stuff where the thud and definite change of these boxes win.
SLS box felt lazy in manual and I was hugely disappointed with the delayed change until took it back to AMG for a remap....after all it is the same box as Ferrari use but AMG are keen to protect their drive train.
