I use a Garmin Zumo 660 (waterproof, meant for motorcycles, bulky and heavy) with the suction cup mount on the drivers or passenger screen. If I suction it good it will stay on for hours and hundreds of miles before it vibrates off. The key seems to be to mount it as low as possible on the screen and away from the edge so the vibration is minimized.
