Remember DoD can take the satellites down at any time.....and the way things are going in the world at the moment. Most yotties that I know if on passage record lat long every hour in the log. I always have at the minimum a road atlas and normally an OS map with me. Down here satnav normally takes you down the most unsuitable roads. So yes I am part Luddite
