You only lose credibility once.

I have no doubt about the cost of a stuffed Roady + LHD conversion being about right, but are you happy paying this price for a written off car when there are loads of unsullied ones out there.

Given where the work was done yes I would be.
The car has had a full restoration: new chassis, new wings and bonnet, complete re-spray and partial re-trim and all done by a very competent and respected workshop.

It is no different to a 1970s car being re-build because of rust to the chassis and bulkhead. I don't think the accident is important.

As to the RHD/LHD conversion, again it isn't important. Ruut's +4 was converted.

Unlike almost any other car trad Mogs are virtually infinitly repairable and restorable. I hope this Roadster finds a new home soon, there are not many about.

I notice Morgan Motor Company have 17 Roadsters listed without even searching any other sources - shortage of Roadsters is not an issue, as can be said for most other models.

In 1972 when I first fell in Love with the Plus 8 and the price was £1,529 I was invited by Peter Morgan to the factory for a test drive upon my return to the UK, there has never been so many Morgan's on the market during this period of time.

2 X Plus 8's and a 4/4 Sport later on long may it continue as it made choosing my second Plus 8 considerably easier than in 1994.

Anyone doing a search will discover the Insurance history and would be ill advised to purchase this history if you have any intention of selling on at some stage, when you are in this price range and toy area financial "risk" is up to you to manage.

Mike Duncan had a rebuilt white Roadster in at the time I was looking to change my 1st Plus 8, but not only did it not press the right buttons the write off would have stayed lifelong with the car (it is a mind set) irrespective of the integrity of the cars mechanicals, it is just not that simple or straightforward.
