When I took the jack in my 2005 PLUS 4, I saw a small hole in the tool tray. The Jack is stored on the left side just above the T connecting piece of the rear brake piping which is fixed on the back axle.
I suppose on big bump the T piece could collide the tool tray at this place where the hole which received the jack has the maximun depth : 9cm (3.6"). On the symetric place the depth is the half allowing an extra gap of 4.5 cm (1.8").
I decide to turn the tool tray from left to right in order to have more gap between the T piece and the tool tray. Now the jack is stored on the right side.
