I think subtitles are a good thing compared to the dubbing habit in other countries - It is really strange to hear your favourite actor with someone else's voice
About the firearms; there's a lot of regulations and you have to have a hunting license and/or be an active member of an authorised rifle-club or some similar organisation to own a gun or a rifle. And then not many ordinary citizens own a rifle or a gun anyhow.
