I never have considered the rain for that construction... I was planing to copy R1NGO's cooling system this winter for the next season, that makes me think of including a rain catching system ...
R1NGO, do you have experienced problems driving during rainy weather?
No problems yet, but I don't expect any. The electrics are fully waterproofed in that area and any water would need to get past the engine, past the fan, through the grill and then in through the hole in the bonnet. There's almost zero chance of any issues unless you intended only ever driving in monsoon conditions as far as I can see. Heck, if I do find myself driving in the-world-is-ending rain conditions again, all I have to do is switch on the fan and it will blow the water away anyhooo.
I will continue to sleep comfortably at night (at least on that front at least!)....
