I had a 355 Spider for a couple of years

If you are in a position to do so then I'd definitely recommend anyone to own at least one Ferrari but make sure you get good advice before buying one. The running costs can be eye watering, but buy wisely and they can be a great investment too.

Completely agree Chris, I had 355 Spider as well 12 years ago for 2 years.
Pros, one of the best sports cars I have ever had, one of the last Ferraris that still drove and felt like like one, fantastic to drive

Cons, after 12k miles and only 21k on clock needed pair of manifolds(too thin crack every 20k due to heat, can get better now for £2k), full service £1200 engine out, clutch lasts around 25k £1500, set of tyres £1500 last 10k at best, this was prices then. It attracted all the wrong sort of attention and some of the worst road abuse I have ever experienced, literally a red flag to a bull, a real shame.

I sold as it was £8-9k to keep going. I loved drinking it and still miss it. Would I buy another Ferrari, yes if I won the lottery I'd buy either the same or the twin turbo 355 screamer and use on track days. You have been warned.
