So are we saying here that if you rig up a relay that takes a signal off the headlight circuit which must be normal wiring near the headlamp bulb and the relay power conections is hot wired to the battery via a fuse at the battery and then the relay earths via the chassis.

This provides power to the driving lamps.

That the tiny current off the headlight circuit to excite the relay to make the power circuit will turn on a canbus fault in the ecu.

Now that would just be unfare!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
