Teutonic build quality, without the badge-snobbery. May or may not live up to point 4. as different versions of the same generation Golf can vary in the 'sparkle' department. I tried really hard to love a Gen 1 R32 and sold it when I couldn't get around its heavy slow-witted cornering, despite the stunning turn of speed, sound effects, build quality etc.
