I don't think Morgan have ever made a car just for "pottering around in", for long periods in the 4/4's illustrious history there hasn't even been a Plus4 model.
I'm with Heinz on this, the agile 4/4 is the Morgan in its purist form. Putting additional power in the more corpulent models does not make them any more of a sports car.

It would be unnecessarily provocative to suggest that large capacity torquey motors are for people who are prepared to spend more than they need to on fuel in order to compensate for a lack of skill in changing gear
