That is exactly how I imagined a straight through absorption silencer would look, I daresay it could be a little narrower, but at the expense of more noise. I understand that a longer and thinner silencer works better than a short fat one.
There must be aftermarket ECUs available which would be suitable for the S&S, all it needs then is a rolling road with a single roller and man who understands V twins.
