I think that the chrome on the roll bar is a "reply" to the chrome of the wind screen. It looks right (if you like roll bars...)
Furthermore, if you want that your roll bar looks right in black you have to be sure that its black is the same as the car body: a matt black or a satin black will not fit, in my opinion.
