The later frames have threaded lugs already there. Very neat job isn't it!
Ah, that must make life a deal easier. I'm now thinking that a similar arrangement but with clips to go over the top of the windscreen frame could be useful for a QD solution. I'd have to remove them if I needed to put the hood up, but you don't often need sun visors when it's chucking it down with rain
