Why a TA Steve? Not many have the original engine because it was weak and suffered cracked blocks.
I've only had a ride in one TB - with a Tickford body - DHC. It looked fantastic, but the experience was not one I could live with. It was slow, and very flexible, and very rattly. In other words, too much of a liability on modern roads.
I drove a TD once, which in theory should have been much better with IFS etc, but that was also pretty dire.
Whereas a well sorted MGA is a superb car to ride in.
