Whilst the ACU are being a pain, there are advantages to competing under their rules.
1/ Leathers, not silly fireproof cloth. I'm convinced in terms of risk this is much more sensible for many open cars.
2/ While I bet quite a lot of four wheelers don't comply, the battery earth lead with MSA should be yellow... (tape or a sleeve is ok though).
There probably are other things, but I thought of those two this morning.
