I have the same worry Mario!
However, my Brooklands wheel was bought later, and I still have the original, so I just put that on when I'm going anywhere that I'm concerned about parking. Or I put the tonneau cover on when I leave it.
If you think about it there are a lot of parts that are easily removeable, including the seats....
