My last two sprockets were covered by the dealer. He, too, is a bit disgusted with Morgan. Apparently the bean counters are now in charge due to the 'unexpected' costs associated with the 3 wheeler.

The sprocket is NOT a consumable. Were it made of the proper material it would last the life of the car. The belt is a consumable and is treated accordingly. The cam belt is a consumable but the cam sprockets are not and are fully expected to last the life of the engine.
