It is, potentially, a very serious matter, and if I were the Director of a company making a product with the potential to be life threatening, I would be very worried, very worried indeed.

How the board and the shareholders are able to ignore this, especially in today's litigious climate, I fail to understand. Is it really all about profit, and if the answer is 'yes' then surely it is still better to make the product right in the first place, rather than continue making it wrongly, even after it has been proven wrong, and then to have to spend money rectifying it later?
