I'm the same as you and sold all my bikes( bar one)I didn't need a plus eight but did need a 4 seater ( for the dog) so my OLD CVH 1.6 Ford engine car was perfect for me and HTMBO plus dog !
I could not justify £40k plus on a new one so bought the best 7th hand one I could find.

I haven't been disappointed so far
