Steve I've driven the old 4.6l plus 8 in South Africa a fair bit on fantastic open roads which are perfect for that type of car with lots of power. I personally think it's over kill for twist windy roads over here but I wouldn't say no to a narrow body plus 4 as I think you get the best of both worlds then.
