If it was painted in the same studio, using the same paints, by relatives of the artist and was identical.... should it go in the Tate?
I was having a conversation on the subject of the E Type 'continuation' over lunch- it's an interesting subject.
If it was identical, wouldnt you send it to the Tate, or Southerbies? I would.
If people are stupid enough to pay more for the same item just because they think it comes from a name, rather than because of the inherent worth or the item, then I see no reason not to take advantage.
