The good car covers specialy made for interior are soft on the "car side", they do not scratch and don't make any condensation.
I have the same type of housing as Trevor, open to birds (I hate birds, they sh...t ans p...e on my "precious"
) and dust, and I use a not waterproof cover made for in house housing without problem.
