Do you know what became of the Morgan Colin?
No I don't Stewart, it'll be around somewhere. My restorations keep turning up on YouTube or in the pages of Octane at some ludicrous asking price! As for it's being unusually rotten I can assure you that it was by no means unusual as I found out to my considerable cost earlier. When my daily driver +4 'SLB 930' (still going strong and now a film star!) was found at Bowman and Acock to have a sagging chassis. I had it rebuilt by the Factory rather than doing it myself thinking it would be quicker and I could get on with my vintage cars...big mistake. One year later and at a cost greater than that of a new 4/4 Comp (which B&A did offer me instead!!) I collected my restored Plus 4 and was not altogether impressed. Four years later the steel wings, door lower edges, rear quarter panels and scuttle base had rusted out, along with a good part of the bulkhead and valances. Thus I took the bloody thing totally apart and rebuilt it properly. Then I rebuilt about 150 more over the next 20-odd years! :-(
