When I changed the rear springs, I made sure that they were well lubricated - sitting on the bench overnight with oil sitting in the grooves and the centre bolt slackened. Night 1 one way, then night 2 the other way. Then I wrapped them in Denso tape.
It wasn't long before I was hearing a squeak-squeak-squeak at low speed, and in fact somebody commented on it on one of my videos.
I knew that it couldn't be the springs and after a bit of detective work I traced it to the engine mountings. By gently rocking the engine I could get the squeak. A squirt of WD40 (yes I know not a favourite) has silenced the offside mounting, dried out I suspect by radiated heat from the exhaust manifold.
