As part of my preparation for racing my M3W ( Darley Moor on Saturday !! ) I check over just about every exposed bolt / nut checking for which of the little blighters is working loose and giving them a nip up.
Top ones for trying to escape I find are around the cooling fan , anything in the dash area - the hex bolts holding the dash together , the small allen screws holding the leather trim , the bolts holding the rear bulkhead in place , the bolts underneath holding the floor part together. I have even had a seat belt bolt work loose.
Front headlight assembly - small screw on top.
Body shell to chassis tubes - front corners under bonnet.

If you can see it - tweak it !

What I dont look at so regularly is the steering and the engine assemblies - I am presuming they are torqued up on nyloc nuts so should stay put. I did do the bevel box / NVH recently though , and it was worth it.
Everything will need looking at at some point - nature of the beast.
