I have had three bad or unusual experiences in my life of Cars
that i recall.

a) Once attempted to trade a Silver TR7 to a London Dealer, on delivery he noticed the V5 recorded the colour as WHITE, further inspection under the carpets revealed the chassis number incorrect.the car was confiscated by the Police. a month later all was revealed, both a white car and a silver car were registered by the dealer at the same time at new, placing the wrong owner on the V5's, both owners had never picked up on the mistake, i lost out big time as the London dealer delt directly with the owner once the vehicle was released frown

b) Bought a BMW 3series from a Dealer on the M8, services (i know idiot you say) all books and HPi clear with certified mileage. On delivery to a BMW Dealer he noticed the stamps in the book were
from a Dealer that had been closed for over 3 years, further reveals exposed that the car had had the steering wheel changed (wear signs) the mileage clocked knocking off over 100k miles before HPI recorded. i auctioned it and lost a big one, outch. frown

c) I purchased a B reg Montego estate 7 seater from a Soldier and sold it on, 3 month later the purchaser visited me and explained he could not Tax the vehicle due to it having Armed Forces plates on, i had to give a full refund and sit on the car for approx 8 weeks until i received a confirmation letter from the Armed Forces in Germany, then i could apply for a UK Reg, fortunately the Armed Forces place their Vehicles on one year behind so the new plate came to me as a "C" plate, i made good out of that one smile
