I purchased a NEW 2009 Anniversary model Plus 4 from a dealer in 2010 that had been in the showroom for some time.
Due to illness I paid for it but didn't take delivery until March 2011 so it was a 2009 manufactured 2011 registered car.

In that time the Plus 4 had changed to a wider front track and wings along various other smaller detail changes, none of this I was aware of at the time
I loved the car and it didn't detract from my Morgan experience, when part exchanged it was valued as a 2011 car regardless of the fact that it was 2009 manufactured and had its Anniversary badge on the dash.
The Narrow body is now back in fashion.
A 2007 1.8 4/4 with full spec £ for £ sounds like a better car than a 2009 basic 1.6 4/4 Sport to me, particularly if they are both on a 09 plate at the same price.
I bet you wouldn't swop it for the 2009 model with no spec if they were side by side.
Sorry you are so upset but it's still a Morgan and i'm sure the dealer priced the car according to its condition , specification and date of registration.
As to any difference in Value between the date of manufacture and registration Im sure there will be none, either now or in the future but only time will tell.It may of course be more desirable as time goes on then you can ring and thank him.
I can only tell you of my personal experience.
