In that respect you must remember it is a kit to be retrofitted to replace leaf springs. If you compare it to kits made for other live axle vehicles to replace leaf springs it is, if anything, a neater and well executed design. It would probably be less noticeable if it was all painted black.

If you want something that looks as though it was part of the original design you would have to either buy a different diff (housing) or start welding parts on the existing diff and, for that matter, the chassis. As long as the structure strong enough and securely fastened there would be no difference if it was welded or bolted.
