Do you still have a resistance when moving the hood door handle? If yes, try the recommendation of the video to press down the back of the hood again before you start the complicated disassembly. When my recent Mog was new, it was unbelievable stiff and needed the help of two hands, pressing the back of the hood down, gently but powerful, when a third hand moved the hood door handle. It was so tight, that I thought it is broken.
If you should have success, make the screws within the springs a bit more loosen, at least for the first weeks (of course you want to stay dry) , and grease the system.
