That's a good point I just read about Labour policy on Trident and Jeremy's view.
Even if Trident went ahead because JC had to concede to Labour Party policy on a nuclear deterrent, It's a dreadful thought but in the end the PM has to be prepared to authorise a nuclear strike and JC can't delegate it or start a discussion group - he may not have time to even discuss it.
If he refuses on principle to authorise nuclear weapons, all the billions and policy decisions will be useless - how can he be PM unless he is willing to push the button?
