The +8 has no splitter, there is masses of space in front to the wheel...
As the profile is in both cases 35% the difference in sidewall heightbetween 225 and 235 is 3.5cm, ie. the 235 wheel is is 7cm taller than the 225, based on using this calculator:

But that is almost 3", there is little clearance between the wheel and wing edge so it might catch the wheel arch on lock....



It can't be 3 inches difference between a 225 wide and a 235 wide tyre!

235 x .35 is 82mm
235 x .35 is 79mm

So that's a 3mm difference. Not 3cm
To get a 3cm difference you'd need to go from 225to a 335 tyre width!
