Yes and no. The motor is a dry sump motor and all the oil lives in a 6 quart oil tank which resides under the cowl piece. The tank has a drain plug but it is awkward to drain without having oil go everywhere. Probably everyone on this forum has their own method for changing the oil. There is also a small drain plug on the bottom of the engine to drain any oil that might have pooled in the bottom of the sump, usually no more than half a cup or so.
