A couple of my smaller gauges misted up this morning driving to Cheshire in the fog
It also happened with a few more dials late last year when I set off early one morning in sun after a damp night
It's just moisture condensing on the inside of the cold glass
It will happen to any gauge that isn't completely sealed from atmospheric moisture
I had the same thing happen a few times in a wrist watch where the seal had perished
