I thought that this issue of misting instruments was really a little ridiculous given the coatings that are now available it should be possible to make the inside of the glass permanently mist free.

This is some of what I found:

Given that this was published over 2 years ago a commercial supply of treated glass should soon be available - https://www.polymersolutions.com/blog/polymers-help-create-fog-free-glass/

This is a film that could be applied to the inside of the glass - http://www.fsicti.com/index.php?pid=20
I think this company can also provide treated plastic sheet which could be used instead of glass for the instruments.

I don't think this would be permanent enough - https://www.akzonobel.com/colloidalsilica/application/cleaning/
