Whenever, I am in a hard right turn, whether under power or idle there is a grinding/whining noise from what appears to be the rear left hand side.

I'm thinking it's the differential because although it is central, its located next to my left ear. To add to my difficulty, I have a noisy stainless steel exhaust system making noise discrimination challenging.

1) Anything else I can do to confirm this diagnosis?

2) I don't suppose anyone knows where the original differential was sourced from?

And

3) Is there a better replacement choice than the original?

Reminds me of a while back on a long run, everytime I turned hard left or right at speed I noticed a metallic clunk on the left hand side.

After I got home I tried to find the cause, checked wheels, exhaust, panels to no avail. Eventually looked under passenger seat and retrieved my metal drink bottle doh
