All (" modern" cars from the last 15 years) have an transponder in the key, it makes elektronik contact with the system so the key is not only an mechanical unit but also elektronik .... and if it fails .... you get somtimes an yellow padlock on the dach ..... but i dont now if it is also in an Morgan key ........ but ... Morgan +4 keys are from Ford ? and Ford had it for at least 15 years
