I usually wear a pair of ScrewFix safety boots (look a little like hiking boots - these are similar: http://www.screwfix.com/cats/A344266/Workwear-PPE/Footwear/Dickies-Chukka-Boots). Haven't noticed any 'cattle grid' effect. Use the boots for work, but as ankle support is important, I tend to use them for general wear. Size 10 are small enough in RTA. When marshaling I have a pair of Doc Martins, in a 10, have to take a little care driving up Prescott with those on laugh2
