I'll throw my bit in as well.
I've just had it done. Replaced the king pins with hard chrome and bronze bushes, uprated mulfab springs and steering bearing.
While we were at it we put adjustable AVO's all round and brake reaction bars on the front.
OMG.
It has transformed the car. I've had quite a few morgans, never done this on any of them, I did have one that had koni's on it which handled ok but nothing like this.
I know we've had lots of posts about suplex, I drove PJB's car with the 5 link as well and said it was amazing……. but I don't think it was so much better to warrant the additional cost. (that's opened up a can of worms!!!!!)
The front of the car feels as if it's now attached to the rest of the car, it goes round corners….and no bottoming out. Comfort is now 100 times better.
It's never going to be a Rolls Royce phantom or a lotus Elise, but for a trad Morgan with leaf springs, ladder chassis and 100 year old front suspension it's pretty good.
