I have a 2001 4/4 Zetec 1.8
, and like many others before me, I am experiencing intermittent speedometer failure.
The speedometer stops working after I have been driving in the rain
for a while, but after a night in a dry garage, it works fine again on the next run.
The problem is likely to be the speed sensor, or the wiring to it, but I can't find where it is. I have looked at several similar posts and it seems likely that it should be on the front wheel stub axles, or the gearbox, but I can't spot it on either of these.
Can anyone point me in the right direction please
I have attached a picture of the underside of my gearbox if that helps.
