A slight review to my previous post! My gearbox cover would not come off...it was so firmly glued to the bulkhead with sealant that I couldn't shift it! By the way, you do need to take the propshaft cover off first to free up the rear of the gearbox cover...and that needs the seats out! I ended up cutting an inspection hatch in the side of the cover to access what I needed...which was the handbrake ratchet......the pickup for the speedo is in the same area as you can see from the attached photo. The actual sensor with its cable is mounted just below the segmented plate.
