I've got Marchal 810's simply mounted to one of Melvyn's badge bars. No wobble and perfectly secure. And no drilling. They may not be the most efficient lamps but they are not the cheap Wipac tat that is on sale today. (And P Soupers are few and far between, but we do get a bit of early morning fog here by the sea).
