Phew Photos..
Whilst I´m able to rebody and reengineer a car I am not much of a computer nerd. can anyone help me on that?
For anyone interested:
I payed 16500,- € for the wreck
Frame and body repair added up to about 1500,-€ plus my work.
Then I reconstructed the front running gear using aircraft grade steel and rose joints, also a custom built steering rack, which is narrower and fits lower to reduce bump steer. I then installed 32mm motorcycle brake discs and Brembo calipers which turn out much lighter and more effective. Also they look much better behindt those wire wheels.
Turning my attention to the rear I reconstructed the swing arm and pivot points and installed a much smaller drum brake.
All in all I saved 10.5 Kilogamms unsprung weight at the back and 4.3 Kilogamms each side at the front, but then I dont use the mudguards.
Funny you dont get as wet in a MW3 when it rains
like you do in a Lotus S-Seven, which I also own.
In July 2014 the car was totaled again whilst standung in a parking lot. It was then I found out that the whole body collapses when its shunted up the rear. Morgen was again not able or willing to sell a complete body so I made a new one myself using 1mm gauge Aliminium instead of 1.5. I also made a new nosecone from the same meterial further reducing weight.
Really the story goes on and on including Bevel box touble, engine to gearbox coupling and so on.
