I've got a bent lower tube in the cross-head/subframe on my '70 4/4. I don't know what the tubing material is. Can I use heat to bend it back? Is it easier to just replace the lower tube sections? Are the castings on the ends of the tubes brazed on, or welded on? What's the best way to salvage the castings if I replace the tube?
